This is a gem from 1963 which combines the honesty and dulcet tones of Studs Terkel with the charm of a young Bob Dylan. Studs teases out the stories and songs that define a musician in his infancy in a dance that allows us to hear both in quite a lovely dance. Remembering that Bob was all but unknown to a wider audience at the time, having been singing in small venues to those who had never experienced this kind of music at the time. Beautifully done and an example to those of us who talk to young musicians on radio.
