Berry Point Studio is available for selected Airstreaming programmes, interviews, live performances and special projects.

You might be:

  • Interviewing an interesting guest
  • Hosting a programme for the first time
  • Bringing in a musician or band
  • Performing live yourself
  • Creating a special community programme
  • Trying an idea that simply deserves a place on the air

You don’t have to be a regular Airstreaming DJ.

Sometimes we simply hear an idea and think:

That would make great radio.

When we invite you to use Berry Point Studio for an Airstreaming programme, there is no studio charge.

A Listener-Supported Platform

Airstreaming is listener-supported through TipsOkay.com.

Rather than charging for these Airstreaming studio sessions, we hope the people who use the platform will help us introduce their programme to an audience and let listeners know how they can support it.

We’ll create a TipsOkay page and link for your programme, performance or project when appropriate.

If listeners choose to contribute through your TipsOkay page:

70% goes to you or your project.

30% helps support Airstreaming and the platform that makes these programmes possible.

There is no obligation to raise a particular amount.

Help Us Spread the Word

The most valuable thing you can do is simply tell people about what you’re creating.

Before your programme or session, we encourage you to:

  • Share it on social media
  • Invite friends, followers and interested community members to listen
  • Ask guests and participating artists to share it too
  • Include information about how and when to listen
  • Share your TipsOkay link when appropriate

We’ll promote it too.

A larger audience is good for you, good for the people you’re featuring and good for Airstreaming.

TipsOkay Is About Community Too

TipsOkay isn’t only a way to support an individual programme.

We also use it to help people discover:

  • Local performances
  • Livestreams
  • Events
  • Studio gigs
  • Open mics
  • Artists and musicians
  • Other community-centred offerings

We appreciate you directing people there because someone who discovers your programme may also discover another artist or event they’d like to support.

And if you know about something that should be on the TipsOkay Events page, tell us about it. We’re happy to consider events suggested by the people creating programmes with us.

We’ll Help People Find Out More

If you’re interviewing or featuring a guest, artist, musician, band, project or particular music, send us the information.

We can add supporting information and appropriate links to Airstreaming.org so listeners can explore while they’re listening.

We’ll give you the URL to mention during the programme.

If You Receive Listener Support

Payments are normally made by Interac e-Transfer to avoid unnecessary payment-processing fees.

You will need to be able to receive e-Transfers unless another arrangement has been made.

Your share of listener support will be sent within five business days after your programme airs.

Before Your Session

We’ll ask you for:

  • A brief description of what you’re planning
  • A short backgrounder
  • A photo or other image we can use
  • Information about guests or participating artists
  • Relevant links you’d like listeners to be able to explore
  • An email address for Interac e-Transfer, if applicable

We’ll take it from there.

Bring the Idea. We’ll Help Put It On the Air.

Berry Point Studio and Airstreaming exist to create and share things worth listening to.

If we’ve invited you to use the studio, we want you here because we think what you’re bringing can add something to the station and its listeners.

Help us spread the word. Invite people to listen. And if listeners choose to support what we’re creating together, TipsOkay gives them a simple way to do it.

Airstreaming is listener-supported through TipsOkay.com.
